This bed, like the others, was cut out from amongst the trees. The PH of our garden is about 6.5 - 7.0 so most plants are fairly content but the rhododendrons and azaleas in this bed did suffer from the strong winds! The picture below was taken in June 2008.

Fast forward to 2015, the bed has expanded to incorporate lots of other shrubs.
It now includes many more rhododendrons and azalias and several trilliums.

Delicious home-made cakes with tea or coffee available.

Entrance £4 children free, all takings (entry, teas and plants) to the NGS.

We are also open for the NGS by arrangement, (for groups of 10 or more - adm £7 incl home-made teas and guided tour)
